Dr. Kirsten Foot, PhD, is a professor of communication at the University of Washington. With expertise in inter-organizational relations and multimethod research, Dr. Foot is committed to publicly-oriented, practice-informed, collaborative scholarship. She has published over 50 journal articles and book chapters, co-authored the award-winning book Web Campaigning (MIT Press), and co-edited two volumes: The Internet and National Elections (Routledge) and Media Technologies (MIT Press).
Her current research interests include practice-based theories of collaboration, organizing processes, and the evolving relationship between technologies and society. In addition to recent articles on counter-trafficking efforts in the Law Enforcement Executive Forum and the Journal of Human Trafficking, Dr. Foot advises anti-trafficking coalitions and offers consultations on multisector collaboration.
